SIXTY SEVEN backpacks went home yesterday with SIXTY SEVEN children from Newburgh, NY.  I had an awesome time putting these together this summer, and have been humbled by the overwhelming response from people in this community.  Generous donations came from children, teens, seniors, cats…  I am so grateful to everyone who donated, and everyone who sent positive thoughts and prayers Indeed’s way.  2011’s goal has officially been exceeded.

I AM SPEECHLESS.

My grandfather, Dominic Letterii, just donated 45 years worth of his spare change.  Together, it amounts to nearly $300.  This is about the exact amount Indeed needed to come to the 50 backpack mark.

As if that wasn’t news enough to be excited about…  One woman from our church collects change for her grandchildren to have whenever they come visit.  When she told them about Indeed, they told her they wanted her to donate it!!  Thank you to the four Bacon children!!!

And a huge thank you to EVERYONE who has donated.  These are only two stories… so many people have sent hugely generous and touching donations.  Every single one counts.  I am unspeakably grateful for the support.

People are Aweome.

Donations are starting to come in.  I am humbled at how willing everyone is to lend a hand.  Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.  You have helped set Indeed off on a good path for 2011!

A letter about Indeed. I have plenty if anyone is interested in spreading the word.
